Select from File menu, Material Database or click the M icon on the top toolbar.

 

 

The material database is pre-populated with commonly used flooring materials, line items and labor items. It serves as a sample database you may use, modify or even delete.

 

Within this database window, you can

·        Create a product type, create categories under a type, then add item under the category

·        For each item, specify its product and estimating properties, such as style code, style name, color code, color name, and its estimating method, such as layout type, unit of measurement, cost price, sales prices, etc.

·        For major flooring covering type such as Carpet, Vinyl, Tile, Laminate and Hardwood, if needed, specify ASSOCIATED line items and labor items, so the program can calculate all the cost items automatically.
