First, make sure your subfloor or underlayment items are set up properly in the material database.

 

Setup Subfloor/Underlayment Item in Material Database:

·        Add underlayment under Underlayment/Floor Prep of Installation Materials type in material database.

·        Specify its estimating spec, the square footage per sheet (enter 24 SF, if 4’x6’ sheet; so the program calculates the number of sheets required), per sheet price (per box price field), etc., as illustrated in the follow screens.

 

 

 

 

 

NOTE: For the underlayment item to be eligible to be associated with a wood or laminate item, its Calculate Method must be “Material Usage” or “Room Area”.

 

 

 

Apply Underlayment: You may either drag-and-drop to apply underlayment items OR have them associated with hardwood and laminate materials in the database, so when the associated hardwood/laminate is applied, the underlayment is automatically applied.

 

 

 

 

  To estimate by the number of sheets and by per sheet price (vs per SF price): make sure to check ByBox box under Worksheet tab.
