With room and material specification done, it is ready to move to layout and estimate. Clicking on one of layout & estimating buttons on toolbar enters into layout estimating mode.

·        Roll cut sheet on the upper section of drawing area,

·        (A) material usages, linear footage, and other estimating data at left panel, (B) roll cut list or piece cut list within the same section

·        Try different layout directions by clicking  for Horizontal and  for Vertical.  automatically compares two layout directions and chooses the one with minimum waste.

Seam Editing: At estimating mode, one may fine-tune the seam placement generated by the program. There are three ways to do that:

·        Most conveniently, seams can be dragged and moved to achieve optimal layout requirements, the program recalculates instantly upon any adjustment.

·        Use seam editing commands on right-side Seam Editing Toolbar (move cursor over to see the help tips)

·        Right-click over the room to bring up the pop-up menu, select Seam Edit sub-menu, the click on one of commands

Add Rooms or Change Room Sizes in Estimating Mode:

·        Simply click on one of inserting commands to add new room, or drag on the room editing handle to change its size. The program automatically adjusts the seam layout and estimates.

Add or Change Material Assignment in Estimating Mode:

·        The first approach is to bring back Product Panel (by clicking on Product/Services tab on the lower left side), then drag & drop material to the room.

·        The second approach is to right-click over the room, at pop-up menu, select Properties, select another material from Floor Material pull down list (shown below)

Either way, the program automatically adjusts the seam layout and estimates when changes are made.
