First, make sure the stairway labor item is set up properly to be applied to each step. The unit of item must be EA (meaning EACH).

 

Example: a labor item setup in material database, that allows to be applied to each stairway steps (Unit: EA, and Layout Type: Line Item)

 

 

Apply Stairway Labor Item on Per Step Bases: Drag-and-drop the item to the stairway

·        Select Apply on stairway step width length for all steps

 

Example: apply the stairway labor to each step of 12 step stairway.

 

 

The estimate in Worksheet tab shows the quantity of 12 (steps) applying to $2.50 labor charges for each step (as shown below).
