Starting point of tile layout on a room (therefore the layout grid) is critical to tile cut waste therefore the tile material usage. The program provide several ways to optimize the starting point which can dynamically show the tile piece usages as starting point shifts, so tile layer can find the best position to start the job.

 

1.      While at estimating mode, highlight and right-click over the tile areas, select Set Pattern Start, and then use Arrow keys to shift tile grid (or align to any wall or doorways), observe the changes of material usages and tile pieces in use, hit Esc to stop at desire point.

2.      Change layout direction to align with the longest wall, or any selected wall direction.
