Increasingly more builders and architects distribute floor plan using PDF formats because PDF can be opened by a free Acrobat Reader anywhere. This PDF plan is imported into FEP5 PROFESSIONAL and two sections are taken off from the plan area for floor covering.
On-Screen Takeoff from AutoCAD DXF and DWG Plan Files:
Many floor plan files are directly generated exported from architects or builders' CAD systems. DXF and DWG are popular CAD formats that most CAD programs can load and export. DXF/DWG files can be imported into FloorEstimate Pro PROFESSIONAL easily.
On-Screen Takeoff from Dodge Plan:
Some plan sites invite proposals and bids by allowing downloading Dodge Plan file format (with file extension .pln).
